I don't think many do upgrade every year now. 24 month contract is the norm isn't it? Even then I wouldn't upgrade every 2 years unless it was starting to slow. I am on Android and smashed my Samsung so got a cheap £110 phone as I had a few months to go. Stuck with it ever since and got a sim only deal with unlimited calls and texts, 45gb data and social media apps don't even rector into data allowance for £10 a month. I am probably going to by a new Samsung up front in the coming month as the camera is shite and it's starting to fill up now but the difference between budget phones and the top tier is probably only a 3 or 4 years now

They all do the same thing, and the cameras are intentionally kneecapped so they marginally improve them with the next model.

Bought a sim free stock android phone a couple years back, no fluff, no useless Samsung/LG/Motorolla/chinese apps, just perfect. It even removes all the unused apps permissions from time to time.

since we're talking about phones; I've lost my best DOOGEE nightvision/underwater phone, It just kept ringing for a week (good battery innit)... I've got a feeling somebody might have it, either that or it's lost in a crevasse somewhere... either is possible 'cus I was blacked-out but mobile.
Today I finally transferred my line to a new SIM card, if I wanted to block the phone I would've had to wait 3 days for a SIM in post.

I do have security that takes a pic of any wrong password-putter (jokes go here), & tracking as well as the standard google/android 'find my device', BUT... as a paranoid fella I turned all the tracking stuff off, I only allow location when I'm using my cycling app.

I don't want somebody using my phone, I texted offering a generous reward. It's UK registered so how can I fuck-up anyone with the phone / prevent it's use?
