l have an almost womanly urge to be liked by everyone and always hope that when Im not around that they say Im a good guy and speak positively about me.
Whenever I hear a group of people talk highly about someone, it makes me want to be better. I dont know if this is narcissistic or what, but my parents are judgemental assholes that I dont really like so I need to seek my motivation elsewhere
I used to be really really bad about wanting to be liked by everyone. Now I’m more or less only kind of bad. Tough habit to shake tobehonestwitchya.

I guess Gassers already admitted the truth, but I thought he was essentially calling you a pussy by accusing you of starting boring topics like school teachers do, i.e., be edgier!
That’s exactly what he was doing haha. But sometimes if people hit you with a jab then you gotta bring the fawkin haymaker.

There’s a story about Pacino asking Frank Serpico why he became a whistleblower, and Serpico said “If I didn’t, who would I be when I listened to a piece of music?”

I don’t know how true the story is, and it’s sort of gay to draw inspiration from anything related to Hollywood, but it’s a quote that resonates nevertheless. If you’re a scumbag or fail to act when needed or don’t actually stand for anything, how do you enjoy the little things in life? I guess you can if you don’t bother with self-reflection.

Well, narcissists can only see value in themselves through the eyes of others. The question is, do you want to be a better person or do you want to be better praised?

In my mental case, what makes me want to be a better person is when I meet someone really nice, you know that type of person that is effortlessly kind and considerate to everyone, that seems that can never lose their temper?

On the other hand, it does makes me a little suspicious about what are they hiding? Sure, I can accept your natural kindness and consideration, but to never get mad at anything or anyone? Feels like a Kramer rant waiting to happen.
