I can't speak for others but a while back I used to have "crippling anxiety" I guess. If I was outside and just saw someone I would start sweating, I wouldn't check my mail cause the thought of getting a letter would make me want to throw up, if I heard someone walking the stairs outside my apartment I would get a mini heart attack thinking they would ring my doorbell. I'm a lot better now but I still have remnants of that shit inside me. I do think that a lot of others play it up, but it does exist.
I’m not saying it doesn’t but they have medications for it to help. I’m just surprised to see people on various anti-anxiety medications and they can’t handle anything and crumble at the slightest thing - yet those types could be just playing it up as an excuse to not face anything slightly difficult.

Yeah, I never took any medication for it and was able to work through it myself.

You ever been robbed at gun point? Chased by a bum with a box cutter? Ever had to keep two girls secret from each other? Have you ever had to buy weight (that's pounds of weed, kids) from a guy you don't really know? Ever had someone literally out looking for you to try to fight or stab you? Ever done some shit that you're sure you're gonna catch charges for? That's some stressful, anxiety causing shit. I'm not trying to call you a faggot, instead I'm saying that if you experience shit like that in your teens and 20s, the average every day shit of adulthood isn't going to fuck you up. The problem is that every subsequent generation is being robbed of the opportunities to build resolve. The more people sit inside, have everything delivered to them and avoid interactions, the more our minds have to cope with when to apply anxiety to our daily lives.

It’s just so weird to see people now claim to have things like “crippling anxiety” and how they can’t function if they have the slightest discomfort. Being anxious / nervous about something is normal at nature - over a job interview, first day of work, big test in school, buying a house, etc. now it’s like they have to take all kinds of meds and STILL fall apart and can’t physically function to do simple life tasks.
Modern Americans believe they should never feel any pain, never feel any anxiety. If they do, it should be medicated.

I once read some blog by a European doctor talking about the opioid crisis in America and he said something that stuck with me. “When did we decide that breaking an arm shouldn’t hurt?”

My sister tries that shit on “Oh I’ve anxiety after mum died.” In the meantime the cunt claims the hospital blamed me and my dad for my mums death, starting off my psoriasis and the rights hand of my body felt like sandpaper. Lying cunt attention seeking cunt that she is

Years back I wanted to get sleeping pills cause I was going to be on a long flight and just wanted to be out for it so I looked online on how to get them and there were hundreds of replies all naming one sleeping pill and saying that you just need to tell the doctor you can't sleep at night and they'll prescribe it to you. At the time I didn't realize that American doctors would just give out drugs like free candy. So I go to my doctor with this whole story and no matter what I say, he never wants to prescribe anything.
He gives me a bunch of advice on what to do, tells me he can sign me up for a sleeping class, I can go to this sleep study thing where they measure your brain during the night to see what the problem is, etc. Obviously I just want the pills to sleep on a flight so after a while I just namedrop the medicine "I heard about this one pill..." and he tells me that they only give that to 80 year olds that haven't slept for days.
The medical industry in America seems so fucked, in the past two months I've had to go to the emergency room several times and it cost me 25 dollars for each visit. No clue what that would cost in America. A while back someone on here posted how much they paid for their medicine and I looked up what I would have to pay for it and it was like 2% of the American cost.

My insurance isn't the best and 90%+ of people here have insurance. I pay 0 for doctor visits, $5 for a specialist. 0 for urgent care (like a less capable ER) and $50 for ER. 0 for generic medication, $10 for name brand. Once I spend $2000 on everything the rest is free. Again, not great insurance.

this is in the US? I’ve just been paying for a plan off the marketplace bc I’m self employed. I have something insane like a $10k deductible. I should investigate other plans.

Also pogrom, you could have just told your doc that you’re going on a long flight and want a pill. My doc will give me two Valiums at a time if I ask for the purpose of flying internationally. If I ask for anything to sleep at night she gets all concerned about dependency, but they’re all pretty cool about a request that involves such a small number of pills that isn’t a recurrent thing.

Yeah, US. I don't think the marketplace thing does much for you unless you can get income based subsidy.

Can I please have your mom's twitter handle so I can message her about how I want to fuck her face? Thanks.
What’s funnier is she told me that when I was like 10 and had no idea what she meant until
I started working corporate jobs and realized what she was talking about. It’s pretty much a career for useless people - I know they make ok to pretty good money but it’s nothing to brag or be proud of.
