If he goes to county, they may have an auxiliary unit that is dorm/barracks style. I doubt he ever goes to jail unless he completely blows off the hearing, and then the judge issues a warrant and remands Patrick to jail without a bond--- make Patrick sit on ice for awhile would be a great bit.

I've never been, but I heard that jail can be kind of a shitshow. They throw everyone in the same space together, alleged murderers, rapists, and chomos are stuck with boozecruisers, scofflaws, and mattress-tag-rippers. Horrible budget and bad conditions. Very frightening!

That's a holding cell- you're usually not in a holding cell for more than 24 hours (if you didn't make bail/don't have a bond). They look at the offense and your rap sheet and if you're a gangbanger. Depending on your designation, you will be placed with whoever is waiting for a court date, a trial, have probation or parole reinstated or waiting to go to prison.

My offense was pretty lame, but there were a couple of guys that were charged with murder that were in there as well as some poor schmuck who was brought in for trespassing (he fell asleep at a bus stop) and he couldn't make his $100 bond, so he was in for two weeks before a court date and then he was given time served. The generally segregate the active gangbangers and sex offenders.

As an aside, I've been in county a few times (no, never convicted) and the few county jails I was in made you watch videos on how to protect yourself from getting raped-- one tip was don't take anything for free. If an inmate is being nice to you and offers you something for free, watch your bunghole.

You especially have to be careful if they offer you food. In county (other than drugs) it's the most valuable commodity. So, someone giving it to you for free should make your spider sense tingle.

Fat boy is gonna be humbled real fuckin' quick in Milwaukee. He's never going to see population in for contempt, they want to break you fast as possible, and contempt of court is automatic max classification.

If he does what I think he will and "expects to be heard" and refuses to pay his abuser I have a feeling he's going in with an order to either have Nikki pay the full amount or submit to the debtors exam, behind glass to make sure he shows up. And $X amount fine per day to pay for his stay.

Source: I was a drunk and served 6 mos for a 2nd OWI, 2 weeks in Franklin HOC and the rest at the main Milwaukee County Jail as a trustee cleaning showers. So I got to see every POD, seen some super fucked up shit, and got the lowdown on the inmates from the COs.
