In Greece if you ask for toast you get a grilled cheese.
in Korea "toast" refers to a massive buttered meaty egg sandwich

Switzerland is hard to judge because the cuisine is non existant.
Zopf was pretty good even if it's just white bread. I knew someone who had struesselkuchen for their birthdays which was sad. Everything else there that isn't chocolate or cheese only comes in three flavors: plain, paprika, and go fuck yourself. Definitely boring but not bad.

Oh yeah, and either Coop or Migros had spicy salami that was great. I miss it sometimes.

Polish food can be great when you’re in the mood for it, and when the weather is shitty (like 70-80% of the year). Something about hot soup and pierogi on a cold day is great.

In summer, the last thing you want is a braised pork knuckle with sour rye soup and sauerkraut, though

I enjoy pretty plain food. I don't mind spice but I don't live in a third-world shithole where it's necessary to fight off cholera. I like to taste the ingredients, not have them covered up with whatever shrub somebody picked in a ditch somewhere.
