Speaking of wrestling: I had a hick roommate in college who told me I had to watch cause Goldberg was undefeated and awesome. I was like 'his whole bit is that he's undefeated? It's scripted.'

Goldberg stinks.
Kinda funny when people find out that the undefeated wrestler at wrestle mania lost 30 matches that year to a bunch of local fan favorites in the Midwest.

All Matrix movies are faggot shit and always were. That the directors trooned out is actually fitting.

The first had aged awfully, including the action scenes. I can't even say that about certain other era action films. I just watched Bulletproof Monk again, an admitted piece of shit, but those action scenes are still entertaining. Hell, the movie is still entertaining for what it is, but I can't watch Matrix or the following two.

RESURRECTIONS, however, I've come around to liking. The action scenes take a backseat - thankfully, because they're not that great - and the story is at the forefront. It pokes holes in all the lore they created in the original Matrix run as well as the idea of reboots and remakes in general. There's actually a heart and even intelligence to it, like the old science fiction I enjoyed from the sixties and seventies. Still not a great movie, but I like it better than the first three.

watch this

what are your thoughts on the Stone Roses?
I really like I Wanna Be Adored. I tried listening to their other stuff and it was not good. Oasis is dogshit too and I have no idea why people try to raise it above what it is, but then I remember Foo Fighter and Red Hot Chili Peppers still rake it in.

Didn’t they steal most of their music?

My most informative Uber ride ever: the driver was playing a "best of Chuck Berry" compilation. Nothing but old Chuck Berry songs. Blew my fucking mind how I hadn't heard 80% of the songs but I recognized the beats, because they'd been stolen by other artists.

It's like there was an entire generation of bands that learned how to play by copying one dude.

This probably won't be controversial on this forum, but all super hero/comic book movies suck. Literally all of them, no exceptions. I have a lower opinion of anyone who enjoys them on any level, and especially so if they consider them "badass". This even goes for stuff like the 1989 Batman movie, which I liked as a kid, but I watched it as an adult and thought it was utter garbage.

I've avoided all Tim Burton movies for my entire life, because I saw Batman in the theater in 1989 and thought "this is only a little bit better than that campy ass TV show." Nicholson tried his best to save it, and Prince cranked out a decent soundtrack in something like 48 hours, but it just seemed "meh."

Never saw "Nightmare Before Christmas" or "Edward Scissorhands" or any of that. I gave Batman II a try and it was dogshit, way worse than the first.

The other day, the kids put on "Beetlejuice" and for the first time, I thought "hmmm this is actually kinda clever."

I always liked the second Batman movie more. It's so fucking weird.
