Brian Keith Curley, age 55, fumbled his save roll against mortality (he died) on August 16, 2021.

He was born to Edward and Mary (Fleming) Curley in Oakdale, Calif., on September 29, 1965. Curley graduated from Wausau West High School in 1983 and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1987 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Brian married the former Lori Ann Hewuse on July 13, 1991, and worked as a state civil servant from 1992 to 2020. He was also a co-owner of the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his wife; his cats Widget and Gleep; his dogs Nibbler and Sadie; his parents; his brother Rick (Donna Marcks) Curley of Milton; aunts, uncles, and cousins; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his cats Mutt, Lunch, Goober, and Harry; his dog Nina; his brother and sister-in-law Mike and Jamie (Kapinsky-Weisenberger) Curley; his grandparents Bernard and Alva (Beard) Curley and Nathanial Theodore and Lucille (Campbell) Fleming; and his Uncle John Curley.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday August 20, 2021 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. Sun Prairie. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made to the Dane County Humane Society at giveshelter.org or The Gorilla Foundation at Koko.org.
