With Jimmy now seemingly out of Jim & Sam a genuine question does need to be brought up which is what happens now with him career wise. Without Sirius he loses any free promotion he would've previously received and despite the show being a small audience show it did at least keep him relevant especially in the comedy world as Jim & Sam did seem to have comedians on regularly.

Broadcasting wise we all know that putting his eggs in the Nikki Norton basket is not wise, the podcast seems to only be getting about 100k views a month on YouTube which is 1k - 3k monthly revenue from YouTube, you'd expect this number to drop as more time goes on with him being out of the limelight. Stand up comedy wise he only seems to be working 3-4 days a month at that now, not sure what that'd bring in for him but it can't be that substantial and of course those gigs go down the longer he's out of the limelight.

It does seem like career wise Jimmy is going to be broke and struggling like Nana so what's next? Does he go crawling back to Sirius within 6-12 months and sign for whatever they offer? This is a lie that Howard often repeats. Jackie never asked back and was retired and had walked off the show for good. Artie is the one who asked to come back after his suicide attempt. He was asking to go back to the show as late as 2011 according to some people. Howard told Sirius employees to never mention Artie again sometime in 2010 and they began scrubbing Artie from all 'Best Of' replays. Howard also stopped taking real callers around that time because every other caller kept wanting him to comment on the Artie situation.

When Jackie did his podcast he offered it to Sirius first and they put it on Stern's channels. He never had any animosity towards Stern fans. It was always Howard who was deeply paranoid and psychotic about former staffers and his image to the fans.

I know what happened. Jim's deal with Sirius forbids him from doing other shows without their permission. He had to get permission to do stuff like the Vice Show or Chip Podcast. He didn't get permission to do a podcast with Nikki from Sirius and walked over it. Had very little to do with money or standup or Norton getting acting work. It was about his contract with Sirius having a type of clause forbidding him from doing another radio or podcast style show. Now he can do his own podcasts on both audio and video without Sirius putting a stop to them.

The few times I've listened to Sam's show played in clips here, it seems like he has no energy, like he's on the same pills Tony Soprano was on when he hallucinated that hot Italian broad in the first season. He has zero confidence and no enthusiasm for his work. I would bet that other than the money he gets he has zero pride in his work and has less than 1% the fun now than he did on O&A.
