I am surprised the young ones made it to the US. It felt very English to me. Only fools apparently didn't do well in the US and yet it's probably the biggest ever UK comedy in terms of ratings and longevity. It's only in the last 10 of so years they stopped repeating it on BBC one.

From the early 90s to probably 2010 there was a new game or two every month that was made at the highest quality. Sometimes three or four AAA games that were future classics would come out in the same month during the holiday season. It was basically impossible to play every 'game of the year' candidate in a single year because there were too many.

Now? There might be one game in an entire year that is actually good. And that game is almost guaranteed to be a sequel to a franchise that was started in the 2000s or even the 90s. Factor in stuff like microtransactions, DLC, season passes, limited time content, always online single player games, and there is almost no reason to even bother playing new games anymore.
