Is our concept of Chinese food really Chinese food, though? Are they eating egg fried rice and crispy duck in China or are they eating scorpions on sticks and bats?
They don’t eat any of the stuff that’s at “Chinese” take out places that white people go to.

Used to love "Chinese" food. General Tsao chicken being delicious, but now that I don't eat like that anymore, I've found Thai food to be fantastic, especially one that doesn't mind serving actual spicy food. Sometimes it's too much and tastes like an ashy sort of spicy, but Pad Thai is wonderful.

Houston is good for Asian cuisine though. I had some Chinese noodle dish at a spot down there that was spicy and numbing. Didn't think I'd like it but it was pretty nice.
Szechuan pepper, I think.

Korean food is starting to be something I can successfully cook at home though. Love that Korean BBQ. Need to try a hot pot next. I keep gochujang at home all the time now, love a good kimchi

One of their famous dish is SPAMS, sausage, cheese, Raman and other canned shit left by the us army all mixed in a bowl

It's literally called Army Stew(because of the US military food in it)

Anything Sichuan (authentic Sichuan) is PFG to me.

Also partial to Cantonese style Chinese food.

Sun Ramen in Gdańsk (Wrzescz) is probably the most authentic gook food up here. Filled to the brim with chink students and the cooks are also chinks.

Xinjiang food is great if you can find it.

Dry pot potatoes
Latiaozi noodles
Guoyou rou banmian noodles
Big plate chicken.

Hofen with beef is great. That's stir fried rice noodles.

乾炒牛河Fried Beef Ho Fun

Shaanxi noodles - saozi mian, youpo mian (oil splashed noodles)
Scallion oil noodles

Hainan chicken rice is definitely worth trying.
Disanxian - three fresh vegetables is great.
Three cup chicken.

For Sichuan food, I'd recommend mouth watering chicken or water boiled fish.

We went to a tiny little restaurant that was upstairs in Gerrard St. we got stinkeyed on entering until they saw my friend.
When we come to order, some of the guys were trying to order what some other (white) table was eating and the
waiter straight up told my chink friend that he's not serving us that "dog shit". Instead he brought out some prime beef short rib and other dishes.
That seems like an incredibly poor way to run a restaurant.

You want to get yourself to a nice Cantonese place in London's Chinatown. Amazing Dim Sum too. Just stay away from the places that have buffets (tourist traps) and go for the places where most of the customers are chinks
A great Cantonese place opened by me that I would go to regularly until they won a James Beard award. I can't get in anymore and it annoys the shit out of me

I tried with the Vietnamese spots in Houston, I really did. There's some fusion crawfish place there that's supposed to be one of the best places to eat and the food was so bland every time I went I was insulted.

You're apparently supposed to hang out around the fishing boats and eat what they catch with them right there, but I'm not gonna do all that.
