Place near us has AMAZING Beijing Duck. If you're ever in Poznan, hit up Ming Wok. No I don't get kickbacks on this.

Let's hear what you lads like. I'm certain there's PLENTY of Chinese restaurants in Lithuania!

Who knew that when you change the name of a city, you change the name of the food, too

It'll always be Peking to me.

Interesting but not surprising. There's tons of empty claims like that in Scotland: City that invented this or town has the best version of that. And it always tastes the fucking same.

I love a good won ton noodle soup. Singapore noodles are pfg too. Crispy aromatic duck with pancakes obviously rules too.

That same place I mentioned has Thai dishes, the only time I'll really indulge in noodles. Pad Thai is PFG.

I dont think Ive had actual chinese food. Just the sugar and MSG filled american version.

They're really killing you all over there, aren't they?

All the Chinese food places around here just sell a bunch of deep fried shit and rice for the most part. I like that black pepper beef and broccoli shit though.

I hate indulging in a deep fried food, it's why I like the duck. Cooked just right, great sauce, why ruin it by frying it in oil?

That black pepper beef and broccoli sounds good though.

Can't go wrong with the old kung pao chicken.

Is our concept of Chinese food really Chinese food, though? Are they eating egg fried rice and crispy duck in China or are they eating scorpions on sticks and bats?
It's mostly derived from Cantonese cooking that was adapted to the American slop palate. China's fucking massive and there's a lot of regions where they eat wildly different food. Rice isn't even the traditional staple crop of the Chinese heartland around Beijing, it's way too cold to grow it up there.

Ask the COVID lab.

Ginger beef

WWAWD boiling ginger root? Good way to kill your throat AND germs in your body!

You want to get yourself to a nice Cantonese place in London's Chinatown. Amazing Dim Sum too. Just stay away from the places that have buffets (tourist traps) and go for the places where most of the customers are chinks

Next time I'm there, I'll do exactly that. I prefer genuine Asian owned restaurants, anyway.

Kung Pao beef is even more pfg when you're in a Judo headlock and some blokes got you by the penis. Crab rangoons are usually my favorite part of Chinese though. Right out of the fryer with the oil still sizzling and some hot mustard. Diiiiiiiip.

Probably both. Egg flied lice and duck are probably popular over there but also all the mental stick food for every type of insect and amphibian imaginable...

The only "chinese" dish I really eat is Salt n Pepper Chicken with noodle.
It's one of the 5 takeaway dishes on my list I like enough that it's worth paying for.

If you can, go with a Chinese friend (who speaks Chinese).
We went to a tiny little restaurant that was upstairs in Gerrard St. we got stinkeyed on entering until they saw my friend.
When we come to order, some of the guys were trying to order what some other (white) table was eating and the
waiter straight up told my chink friend that he's not serving us that "dog shit". Instead he brought out some prime beef short rib and other dishes.

Further proof they’ve got to all go back, I’m afraid. Though I did enjoy the story.
