Nothings amped up or gotten worse. The internet is just exposing you to more of it. In the 70’s it was about Vietnam, in the 2000’s about Bush and Iraq, now it’s about Israel.

It’s feels like it’s ramped up - I was in college during the bush years and they weren’t doing so much shit that it harmed events like graduation. These always been miserable faggot college losers crying about who knows what on campuses but I don’t remember having these “camps” that refuse to move, etc.

That’s what I mean - the fact we’ve been beat over the head with the date is odd. I couldn’t tell you the date of a huge school shooting or that Vegas concert shooting but everyone knows Jan 6.

I’m comparing it more to the other serious events / wars taught in schools. They barely said anything when I was in school about Vietnam / Korea (that one was ignored) or even anything related to Desert Storm (I know that wasn’t huge but still was at least recent whrn I was in school - I was a HS sophomore when 9/11 happened. There were kids in school then that had grandparents / relatives in Vietnam and Korea and it wasnt really taught.

I lived near Portland at the time, and 100% of the people I knew in Portland believed that OWS was a noble / legitimate / noble protest.
