The Patrick thread is among the worst I’ve dipped into over there. It’s great that it has archives but the day-to-day commentary SUCKS.

Some of the women-dominated threads in Beauty Parlor, the ladies’ section, are much more consistent. There are also whole swaths of the site, like the non-lolcow sections that deal with news, hobbies, etc. that I hear good things about but haven’t checked out.

So in the end it’s an enormous site and judging by a couple threads probably isn’t fair. That being said, I could see why the Patrick thread would cause people to dismiss everything else, fair or not. Some of the regulars in that thread are intolerable.
