I feel bad for anyone watching The Last of Us because while the gameplay is great, the story goes to absolute shit in the 2nd game and the ending is fucking retarded and makes the whole game a waste of time. If they end the series where the 2nd game ends, it could go down as one of the worst finales of all time.

I got into it and it angered me for wasting my time...every episode a cliffhanger but nothing ever concluded or cemented. No special effects, just dialogue. Mulder had no charisma, and they tried really hard to make David Duchovny some "leading man" type in the late 90s/early 00's...he always just looked like a slightly alpha Bill Maher, could never take him seriously. Gillian Anderson with her bugged out eyes never doing anything also frustrated me.

Didn't see sopranos when it went out. Started it maybe 6 years ago. Just didn't have the motivation to watch so many episodes. Bailed after 5. Wasn't great.

Breaking Bad was mostly awful after season 1 so I didn't even bother.

One of the EngLit nerd girls in one of my Uni houses was obsessed with getting me to watch and enjoy Breaking Bad (you’d think a student of classic literature might have better taste, she may as well have binged SOA)

She was nice enough I suppose, for a depressive Daria-like weirdo who’d never cut her nails or washed her clothes often enough, and clearly had never been noticed nor had love from anyone in her life. She couldn’t cook and wasn’t on top of cleaning, though, and that bothered me enough to bring random men home every chance I got, just to get her back for having to scrub her saucepans.

After one too many times where I’d woken her up by shagging my trick of the week (getting shagged by him, really, who’s counting), I ended up feeling guilty and so sorry for her that I caved and watched a few episodes on one quiet night in to rest my hole. I still want my two hours and dignity back, as well as my tuition fee payments for that pointless BA.

Afaik she now works managing a CEX (used DVD & video game trading outlet) somewhere up North, in her 30s. Sort of like a sadder and less amusing contemporary Clerks situation.
