If you listened to Artie's heroin (and coke) years on Stern he basically lied every day. Some of them are comically bad like when he showed up to work with a huge black eye and said he "accidentally walked into his kitchen cabinet". But some of them are just brutal like him stealing over $100K in cash from Norm.
