Watching The Iceman (2012) for no real reason

Kuklinksi was a pathological liar who couldn't back up the majority of stories he told. Really took me out of the movie.

Michael Shannon. He's great in everything he does. He did a small movie called Take Shelter that I'd recommend to anyone. Great film. Maybe not one for Bam or anyone struggling with schizophrenia though.

Did you see Shotgun Stories? It's by the same director. Might be even better although it's an earlier low budget movie. Also stars Michael Shannon. The scene where he stares at the tent and then disassembles is my favorite example for show-don't-tell.

I fucking hate movies about one mobster because its always the fakest hokiest shit overblowing their role. The Irishman was based entirely on lies and becomes Forrest Gump shlock. This looks the same. Kuklinski lied about like 95% of the shit he did. Goodfellas was the only one to do it good

"The Iceman" was a pretty fun read if you can make peace with the fact that everything Kuklinski said was a load of horseshit. The movie was kinda shitty though
