Was the house in ‘home alone’ a bit much?

Paris Disneyland is the most visited tourist destination in Europe though.

Last year alone the theme park, which is currently celebrating its twentieth anniversary, welcomed a record 15.5 million visitors compared to 8.4 million for Paris’ Louvre museum and 6.6 million for the Eiffel Tower.
It's not really worth flying from the US for though and it's not like it has great weather in December. It's for people in Europe. That said everyone I know who does go to Disney goes to Florida not Paris.

Apparently they get tons of people taking photos out front and they used to get too close to the house. Instead of staying on the sidewalk they would go up to the front door.

To bring this back around to the implication you were replying to, this is a whiter activity than playing lacrosse.

what qualifies as a christmas movie is when the films narrative directly ties into the holiday. is kiss kiss, bang bang a christmas movie just cos it's set during christmas? stop acting cute
Exactly. Also, a few of Shane Black's movies are set at Christmas - Lethal Weapon, the Last Boy Scout, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. But, yeah, if you remove Christmas from the plot and the story still works, it's not a Christmas movie.

it was meant to be the kid version of die hard, so a mansion in the suburbs works as a good substitute for a skyscraper in the city. speaking of, the recent insistence on die hard being a christmas movie is fucking retarded and needs to cease

Last year these Australian dudes started asking me about that...I told them I'd never seen it and these tards were still trying to get me to choose a side.

The same is true for the Full House and Mrs. Doubtfire locations.

Here's a pic I took of Bam in front of Full House during our recent trip to San Francisco:
