I've always assumed - based on his low character, and awful public treatment of his wife - that he did something indescribably disgusting to a number of woman and was banned from the scene. Or it could have been his transphobic jokes, like that Jurassic Park one I can't find at the moment.

I do know that he's been told right to his face by promoters that gigs are cancelled, even when they aren't:

He probably convinced himself, with help from open micers who were sick of him, that he was too needed in the Twitter "battlespace," and democracy couldn't afford for him to be deployed on two fronts.

Special Popular Boy can silence people on Twitter, but comedy club crowds can voice their displeasure. In that stupid Milwaukee Roast, some guy in the audience lazily booed something he thinks is good (mass transit, iirc) and he gets all flustered and mumbles "fuck you."

Seems a bit far fetched. Even at the height of Trumps popularity MAGA hats weren’t that common. Then to have a woman wear one to whatever left leaning open mic night Patrick is at seems bizarre and not only is she there supporting Trump/MAGA but then she is also a heckler?!?!

She heckles all the comics before Pat and isn’t kicked out but then he shuts her down with some quick wit? I’m not saying Patrick is a liar but this doesn’t seem truthful.

Patrick's comedy meltdown came from honest feedback to his 1.7 NPC efforts. There was no popular demand for a lispy fagbody with dopey material.

This was just him passive aggressively deflecting blame onto partisan politics so he could at least garner sympathy from the Orange Man Bad crowd, even though the “Trump rally” didn’t have anything to do with him bombing.
