The Bourne movies watch pretty goodI'm sure there are some, but I can't think of a Matt Damon movie I really like off the top of my head. I love Neill Blomkamp movies and the only one I haven't seen is Elysium because Matt Damon is the lead.
Also, does anyone remember Project Greenlight? It used to be on all the time, I could never figure out what the fuck was going on and I've never seen any of the movies that came out of it.
Probably was. There was a recent Wahlberg movie where it qas all about BIG BAD SOUTHIE but clearly was all shot in RevereI'm from Chelsea and remember thinking some of the Southie scenes were shot in Chelsea because how run down it was.
Several scenes from Black Mass were shot near my parents in Chelsea. Shut down the fucking neighborhood for hoursProbably was. There was a recent Wahlberg movie where it qas all about BIG BAD SOUTHIE but clearly was all shot in Revere
William Goldman apparently completely restructured the plot - made the dynamic between Will and Williams' character, introduced the romantic angle, suggested the shrink character have a couple of juicy monologues so as to attract a big name (Williams) and get the thing greenlit. Damon and Affleck then went on to rewrite what they'd already written but following his blueprint. Weinstein and Miramax then heavily campaigned to get them a best original screenplay Oscar, and pushed the "two lifelong buddies from Baastan who are up and coming movie stars wrote this themselves" narrative as it was good for Hollywood "morale" as well as being good marketing.Wasn't it supposedly written by Kevin Smith?

Exactly. They were both doing TV and commercials as kids. Damon was in fucking Mystic Pizza with Julia Roberts in the 80s. They're both in School Ties. They were an overnight success story 10 years in the making.Hence why Project Greenlight never created anyone's career. Because Damon and Affleck weren't scrappy young lads with a dream; they had years of networking and connections before Good Will Hunting. I don't know why people buy that myth when both guys were in movies before that.
Not to mention that the second problem that took the MIT faculty "years to prove" is actually a pretty straightforward set of tree graphs.Such a fantasy movie. Who could believe someone with that accent can do anything more than addition and subtraction.

He was hilarious in EntourageMatt Damon is not a very good screen actor. He seems like he's more suited for the stage. His soliloquies are really off-putting, it feels like he's practicing it in his trailer instead of doing it with a film crew in front of him. It feels very unnatural.
I noticed this actually in Saving Private Ryan when he rants about how every other guy there has a mother and he doesn't deserve to go home - then again when he tells the captain the story from his childhood about his brother hooking up with the girl in the barn or whatever. Watching that I suddenly realized why I hate him in Good Will Hunting.
Best thing to come out of it is the Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back gag reel.
7:40 onwards.
Sounds like sassy lore to clout up some upstarts...I enjoyed it and thought it was really well written.
Odd those two didn't continue writing extensively. You'd think 20 year olds who could shit that out would have the bug and constantly be writing
School Ties kinda ruled until that snitch got Damon tossedExactly. They were both doing TV and commercials as kids. Damon was in fucking Mystic Pizza with Julia Roberts in the 80s. They're both in School Ties. They were an overnight success story 10 years in the making.
what if an autistic janitor is actually a math geniusI loved it when I was a retarded teenager but the older I get the less I care for it. Its still a classic but now its too obvious to me that it was written by 21 year olds. Louis CK hit the nail on the head, genius that gets into fights from Southie is like something I would daydream about in college
