It was really good for four seasons, dipped in season five, recovered in season six, and then ended poorly because it was rushed and had no book material left.
Although some complaints about the ending are dumb. So many complain about what’s her face “turning bad all of a sudden and burning the entire city,” all the while ignoring that she burned plenty of people alive already, allowed her brother to be killed by molten gold, and was a megalomaniac and budding tyrant for much of the series.
That being said, the answer to the original question is yes.

It is written for edgelord 14-year-olds.

Only midget movie that is worth watching is 'In Bruge.' Which has a happy ending for the midget. All fantasy stories are for queers. Even Lord of the Rings is a war series.....where none of the characters die except for Boromir. One thing that sci-fi tends to do correctly is that they kill everyone off, often in brutal ways. I still get a laugh out of how offended people were that Hicks and Newt were killed off screen before Alien 3. Yet them dying for nothing is perfectly fitting for a horror series about a ruthless corporation and a ruthless parasitic alien species.
