Also the “people don’t want to work” means the people that DO have jobs can fuck around and not worry about being fired since it’s tough to get employees, let alone good ones. My local grocery store has had insane long lines recently, why? Most of the staff calls out often and they know they won’t get fired because the employer is at a disadvantage.

Im making way more money than i have in my life and im currently saving less than i was when i was making less money. Thats how i kinda judge the economy in my area. Its mainly food+housing that have skyrocketed enough to hit me hard.

Same here, I was much better off financially during the trump years and made less money than I do now. I was also able to invest much more during the trump years but inflation cut into my ability to invest often.
