Certainly. People know some hits but not Secret Fawkin TreatiesBlue Oyster Cult
not bands but Jackson Browne and Gilbert o'sullivan.
I’ve got Sirius and never hear April Wine. As far as all and of Styx/REO Speedwagon/Jethro Tull/BOC/BTO NONE are in RnR Hall of fame and get lower than Rodney Dangerfield levels of respect despite having tons or great shit. And the shit you do hear is their basic bitch hits, meanwhile most of them had 5 albums of great shit before they made a Come Sail Away or a Reaper. It’s BULLSHIT. All these bands piss in the mouths and asses of Floyd/Springsteen/Rush.I wouldn't call any of the mentioned bands underrated,
when I think underrated boomer bands I think:
Can, This Heat, The Birthday Party
not bands but Jackson Browne and Gilbert o'sullivan.
I like to chill to this:I recognized one of those songs. I always thought it was Gilbert AND Sullivan and assumed it was showtunes. Reminds me of “It Never Rains in Southern California” by Albert Hammond. Good chill shit
I like to chill to this:
This whole album should be considered THE most underrated boomer album of all time, as it didn't receive wide release until the 2000s after about 40 years of sitting in this woman's home (it was released independently in like 67 but found no success). It's basically trip-hop in 1967.
The Zombies
Badfinger
Widespread Panic as a technicality cos its composed of boomers but they didn't release stuff until the early 90s I think.
The thing that made me stand out to me is how weirdly timeless a couple of their songs sound. Not in terms of lyrics or the sound, but something I can't really put my finger on.I’m glad Zombies have had a resurgence doing tours, making music, and getting put in in the RnR hall of fame(even though it’s a piece of shit, they deserve an honor beyond being on the same record label as me).
I keep meaning to check those guys out more. I love that dudes sons band, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. He ran their sound til he died, and on their next album they did a cover of “Let The Day Begin”Most under-rated band of all time:
The Call
Check out the albums Reconciled and Into the Woods. Then back into the rest of their catalog.

Like, you listen to a song from The Monkees or The Animals and it's so unmistakably a 60s song from the 60s. But something like Time of the Season has a feel to it like a 60s song made by a really talented band in the 90s or like 2010, if that makes any sense. There's subtleties and nuances to it that give it a strange modernness.
Fawkin pot talk thursday.
