Nah drugs took me to some dark places but when you don't have rent and utility bills you don't need a lot of money. Meth is cheap, too. For $100/week I was plenty high. Two or three days of temp labour/food bank/foraging and hunting small game basically took care of it.

Sucking dick for meth would have been pretty extravagant all things considered.

100 bucks of meth could maybe last me 3 days.

I would sleep every couple of days and force myself to eat. I also made sure to show up for every shift that I agreed to at the temp place and I didn't get so high that I would be unable to do my job. Maybe I got a little aggressive with the other loser temps from time to time but I took my work seriously.

Sleep is super important, though. I'd say a solid 90% of meth psychosis is down to people staying awake for a week or more at a time.
