In this case, absolutely. There was none of this shit in the first season of Wolf Hall which is the most immersive historical drama I've ever seen. It's shitty, hack dramatization that was totally unneeded. There wasn't a single non-white in the first series. Not one. To unexpectedly stick them into almost every scene in the first episode of the new series is extremely jarring. They ruined the continuity/immersion of an otherwise great show for no good reason.
