The jury is currently deliberating after summations ended yesterday. They are expected to deliver a verdict Friday, Monday, or sometime after then.

Trump is charged with 34 counts of “§ 175.10 Falsifying business records in the first degree.” which is a felony. The falsified records are alleged to be the disguised reimbursements to Cohen, with the underlying crime of the falsification being various violations of election law (Unreported / illegal campaign contributions, tax avoidance, etc.)

To render a guilty verdict, all 12 jurors must agree Trump falsified the records. However, all 12 jurors do not have to prove the underlying election law was broken beyond a reasonable doubt. All 12 jurors also do not have to agree on which election law was broken, only that all 12 agree at least one of them was broken.

The maximum penalty, if found guilty, is probation or up to 3 years in prison.

Tell me what crime he committed and why it should be a crime.
Read. He falsified business records. He rendered the invoices as “legal services” when he had never once paid Cohen for his legal services and he knew this was reimbursement. Thats literally the textbook definition of falsification.

But ok, that’s just a misdemeanor. What makes it a felony? The fact that Cohen broke election law giving an unreported contribution, no less over the limit, to Stormy at the behest and benefit of the Trump campaign. That is against election law. Because Trump paid Cohen back and tried to disguise what this payment was for, that gives a motive to the falsification.

Why should it be a crime? The underlying election law should be a crime because you shouldn’t be allowed to donate insane amounts on the behalf of a candidates campaign without disclosing it - Transparency. Why should falsifying business records be a crime? I seriously shouldn’t have to explain that.

Now please bring me 10,000 whataboutisms

I had a coworker lady freak out because I called the porn broad a whore. She immediately gave me a whataboutism with Melania (who I wasn't even talking about) I was saying that Cohen and her were terrible witnesses. And I explained to her that she's actually a whore, but she didn't like that I said it in a derogatory manner. Then when I said, just because you hate Trump and she also hates the Trump, that doesn't make her a good person.
She gave me the I don't want to hear it and ran off! All that was missing was her putting her fingers in her ears and yelling la-la
She's an old lady too, I can't believe how much damage Trump and the internet has done to some people.

I only say hello to my coworkers in the morning and goodbye in the evening

It will probably be something stupid and in the end nothing will happen. There’s just been too many “THIS TIME TRUMP IS GONNA GET IT!” Then nothing happens and the people move on to a new story to get upset about

There’s a guy named PECKER in this case so it’s all silly.
Even if he's convicted it'll just be fines and some type of suspended sentence. No prison time, I would think.

It would be pretty insane to have someone convicted of multiple felonies on the ballot, though.

That’s what I mean, some money and possibly probation or unable to do business somewhere etc but they all think he’s going to be in an orange jumpsuit
