The context was Trump trying to make a point about warhawks and not facing war themselves. Problem is he can’t stop saying stupid shit and giving people ammunition. He phrased it in such a perfect way where anyone can read it as “This bitch needs guns pointed at her” and the “why” is irrelevant.
A perfect example is his “I will protect women whether they want me to or not” comment. He’s not being malicious, and I get what he’s saying, but it’s so easily taken out of context that it’s a stupid thing to say. Foot in mouth.
This is why the Shapiro argument of “Do I like what he says? No. BUT…” is bullshit. He keeps metaphorically loading the gun for the media to fire at him. Furthermore, look at Biden. No one cared how good a President Biden was while he was running this year. He kept giving the media ammunition by being an old bumbling fool who could barely speak. Should everyone have just ignored that and intellectualized it going “But he’s such a good President!”?
