I tried to be fired from a job once rather than quitting cuz there were more benefits. In Canada it's the opposite of Japan

A lady on the YouTube is saying if we joined the USA Donald Trump or anyone like him would never be president again. It's a weird argument but a valid one.

Wouldn't the provinces and territories then be treated like states? If anything, it'd favor the Republicans on the federal level by pumping up the numbers of all the Letterkennyish areas.

All the Quebecois would also have to look for a new party as BQ wouldn't be viable in Congress and I can imagine a lot of them preferring the one which trumpets state's rights, especially if the Republicans start leaning even more into that angle to appeal to them.

That lady didn't really think this through.

If Quebec ever went independent like they've been crying about for years, we could probably pull over Alberta, Manitoba and the Sask. I don't see Ontario or Asian Columbia ever joining. The rest have populations no one cares about.
