Anyway I recall shaking hands with John Tory as he was on his bike by Nathan Philips Square...Security was minimal. Rob Ford before him was beloved, I recall even Somalis wanting to take selfies with him when he visited this soccer academy for some photo-ops...he had good security detail. Mel Lastman was beloved by Torontonians too, and the only person I've seen so much disdain being expressed to him is Trudeau.
