Yeah that’s the crowd they were hoping to get to fly in so they had all the room prices jacked up to crazy high rates and they had to start dropping rates a couple months ago because it didn’t take off like they thought. I think the rates dropped like 40-50% after they saw they weren’t selling.

I don't know that the two are connected but there are two trams. One a paid for tram (the one you're talking about) and the other that connects Mandalay Bay to Excalibur that is no cost.

Vegas has declined so much.
Last time I was there it was like fucking WALL-E inside the casinos with normal people (some not fat) riding fucking electric scooters. Not outside where it might make sense. Inside. We're talking 40 year olds.
And the entire place smells like pot everywhere.

But you ask Americans to either wake up at 5am to watch some European grand prix, or watch F1 over NFL Sunday and it's a hard pass for most people.
That being said, it'd be dope if they built a first-floor hotel room right up against the track with tinted windows. Doing blow and fucking high-class escorts while cars race by 10 feet away? I'd pay $500,000 for that if I was a hundred millionaire.
