Another thing nobody ever talks about.. Breaking Bad was low budget as fuck. It felt like a high school production especially in a lot of the writing. Vince Giligan worked on a bunch of mainstream shit. It was just a little jarring. And the "haha, he said BITCH" cutesy shit.

Back in 2012, Reddit as an insult wasn't really a thing yet. At least I don't think.

Anyway, that year in the season premiere, the giant magnet episode, Jesse yelled "YEAH BITCH! MAGNETS!" And I immediately got "Reddit" vibes. I just knew they put in that line for soy fags to have their mouths agape and clapping or pointing at the screen.

Why would global drug empires give the slightest fuck about meth purity percentages?

The reasoning in the show iirc was that it was a better product so it sold better, as if meth heads are discerning wine tasters.

I'm guessing they were treating like coke, in that purity does matter because the cheap stuff's been stepped on so much, there's a target demographic who'll pay extra for quality product.

I'm don't think that really applies to meth, because it seems to be way more fucking intense and seems to be exclusively used by trash. I doubt there's such a thing as a discerning meth head.

The Chivester's never done meth and only had a lil taste of the Colombian baking powder, so I could be talking out of my ass here.

IMO the entire last season was cartoonishly gay. The meth Nazis, who'd just scored tens of millions of dollars of free cash, risked everything by hunting down Jesse's girlfriend and murdering her right in front of her house, just to force Jesse to continue to teach Todd how to make better meth he could use to impress a girl. The logic behind it all was completely retarded. In real life, the head meth Nazi would have just killed everyone but Todd, and fled with all the money.

I hate that Owena turned against BB, but one thing I can't shake is a point someone here made:

I think the issue with breaking bad is that it was originally conceived as a dark comedy, which is absolutely evident in the first series, but then everyone praised its more dramatic elements, leading the showrunners to turn an inherently comedic premise into a serious thriller. the show is very entertaining, but it's so far from being the high-art people praise it as
