I suppose i5 will save you a bit but I always found amd better if you want to scrimp on cost w decent performance. I'm only using a gaming laptop nowadays. The one I'm using is about 8 years old and the new halo was the first title it refused to play. Something to consider if you want to play shit at work instead of doing your actual job.

Been gaming on laptops since 2010 cause I hate all the cables and shit, but the heat and consistently has to open them up to dust and fix the fans is really annoying. Mine is from 2017 and the Nvidia GPU over heated and i can only play old and indie games for a year now

Also when it comes to GPU get Nvidia. Anyone who says AMD is wrong. I have had nothing but problems throughout the years with them and when I switched to Nvidia last year it was like night and day.

Budget graphics cards AMD is generally better. As far as performance goes, Nvidia has always been top dog. You also should avoid mixing. They don’t necessarily work well together because of really gay dork shit. Meaning AMD works better with Radeon as well as intel with nvidia. Also, most video games use architecture that favors nvidia. I’m a fucking dork faggot.

nvidia can only operate underclock with intel CPUs in a laptop, 90w max vs 140w with a AMD cpu, its really really bad

People often say "cpu/gpu X is good" but good for what? It might be cheap but maybe it'll be shit for what you actually want or need. That 4k CP of yours is going to take forever to render on a bare-bones system.
