As I understand it, the quasi lawyer has requested a warrant be put on pat for failing to comply with the amortization plan. I don't know if he currently has a warrant on him. The judge will have to issue a warrant for him. Which is not to say they will hunt him down, but rather if he has any police interactions and they run his name they will see he has a warrant and then bring him in.

There's no warrant. You have a right to defend yourself. You can't just file a motion for contempt without a chance for the defendant to dispute it. That's what the hearing is for.

Ah OK. So it is likely that if he no-shows then whatever requests quasis lawyers have made will be OK'ed? Or would that still be up to the judges discretion? Or would there be a warrant placed on his name to eventually get him into court?

Not a lawyer, but I think its always up to the judge's discretion. I can't imagine a scenario where someone no shows to their contempt hearing and the judge just, sets another date for him not to show up to again? Its possible I guess.

Seems very unlikely especially since I imagine Cuwasi will have counsel present that morning to press for his interests with the judge.

This court stuff is confusing. It has to be very stressful. Why would someone willingly subject themselves to extending it as long as possible? They would have to be a real fucking moron to do that.

Not that I have any experience in this area, but if I had to go to court I would imagine each day leading up to the date would be increasingly more stressful. It might even occupy large amounts of your day to day thoughts. Getting any type of closure on whatever got you there would be so freeing. You would finally be able to move forward in life, and leave your past mistakes behind you. I could not imagine that kind of stress looming over me for years on end.
