Old Simpsons is incredible. It rivals nearly all the great shows on this side of the world I can think of, even Father Ted. And the shows it inspired, even without saying it (looking at you, Garth Marenghi's Dark Place) is substantial.
Season 3-8 is the most consistent quality of comedy I've ever seen a show do.
So keep an open mind and actually watch those years I named. Don't hold a bias because Milhouse and Pimple Face Teen want to car crash you. Simpsonized Larry King isn't doing that.
