The only game I've liked from the past 10 years has been Hotline Miami.

I just looked up Hotline Miami. It was made in 2012. Nice last 10 years, stupid. Guess that goes to prove all games in the past 10 years really have sucked. I havent owned a console in 15/20 years or something so my opinion is irrelevant anyways. I think the last game i bought was Vice City maybe.

I've tried every "amazing" game that people have recommended and they've all been shit.
Red Dead Redemption 2 = boring shit.

Gaming died for me when everybody became obsessed with massive open world games.
“It’s good because it’s big!” “The sequel is even bigger!!!!!”
They are so boring. Then literally every game made was just objectively bad in any genre. For a while you could avoid it by just playing multiplayer pvp but then they introduced true skill 2.0 which made them completely joyless experiences where the system predetermines winners to keep everyone at a 50% win/loss ratio.
I loved quake and unreal tournament, then there was knights of the old republic, then there was halo 2 and 3 , modern warfare, bioshock, fallout, borderlands. It felt like there was always something fun or interesting on a release schedule.
All things must pass, even when indie devs make interesting shit they almost never make money to keep them alive.

Even GTA isn’t worth playing, it’s just formulaic “go here and fetch this and laugh at pop culture satirical reference” and you can skip anything you don’t like. It’s so boring. LA Noire was really excellent, though. @BenDovid whatever happened to LA Noire?

I started that 3 separate times and always quit at the same point. I just cannot get into it. It's so fucking slow. And I really loved the first game.
Pretty sure that peaked with GTA V. I remember everyone jerking themselves off about the map being x times bigger than the previous game. Like who gives a fuck? Most of it's just driving through places to get to other places anyway, with nothing really to explore.
