There's a screenshot of this guy doing meditation and shit on the other thread. Why is it play pretend in front of a camera seems so damaging? These folks make it seem like it's worse than roofing in the summer
Talking to actors who do plays and films here in Europe, the answer is almost always the same - at least when they're actually being honest, but you can read into the vague ones too: they are anxious, withdrawn people that find it easier to play someone else rather than learn to be themselves.
I don't even consider that gay (nothing wrong with that anyway, *cough* Henry Rollins *cough*), I think it's sad. Anxiety is a genuine scuuummmmmbbbbaaagggg of a thing to have, but I think you can fight through it in most cases. I do; can be draining but hey, I like people and connecting. To find comfort in pretending so much that you don't even try to figure out what you really enjoy, or what makes you tick, though?
Sounds like a psychosis to me.
