I watched this movie the Two Jakes which was a shitty sequel to Chinatown made in the 90s. They put even minor characters from the first film in it for no reason. Like "dork librarian from Hall of Records."

Anyways, Saints of Newark looks like shit. Nobody wants to see Gandolfini's goofy looking kid try to be an actor.

There's parts of these trailers that I really like. I feel like Vera Farmiga is gonna be one of the best parts of the movie as Lidia. I wasn't sure how Ray Liotta would do but everything I've seen has me cautiously optimistic. Especially when he says "Pain comes from always wanting things." Junkies always want things. Dickie is a junky drunk piece of shit. Makes sense.

I fuckin hate The Punisher as Johnny Boy Soprano. He looks nothing like the guy they used in the series to play him. He seems pissed at Dickie and jealous of him in this trailer. If there's any justice in the world, Tony will whack Dickie at the end of this thing. It'd align with Tony's character and actually be a ballsy decision on chases part.

That fuckin scene with Christopher being scared of Tony is an abomination. This shouldn't be a fucking capeshit movie. I don't need fan service. I'm an adult. Keep your star wars faggot shit to your faggy Sci fi sequels.

That trailer really sucked. The first one that came out actually had me excited for a movie. Now I’m back to expecting pandering nonsense.

My prediction for the storyline is Dickie gets Tony involved in organized crime and Junior nd Johnny Boy have him whacked. To get even for fucking up his sons life, tonys dad parts up Tony himself to bring Chris in the same shit.

I’m also expecting the racial side of things to real 2021 and faggoty. But I’m definitely going to see it ASAP

From the very first on set photos this looked terrible. The cast is too fucking big. And they're trying to include every call back from the entire show whenever they mentioned the past.

The lockdowns really brought in an entire new audience it didn't fucking need.

There's something about the way it's shot that just doesn't look good. It looks inauthentic and too sleek.

Like someone said, Goodfellas was set during this same period, but the movie still looks good. The Sopranos still looks good. This doesn't look right.

I don't care about Tony as a character until he has panic attacks, i.e. the pilot episode, the entire basis for the show existing. They wanted to cash in on the franchise, but anything that happens in the movie just cannot beneficially affect the show's storyline. If this were just another mob movie on its own, it wouldn't even look interesting because they have black people in the trailer, so you know they just HAVE to insert messages into this. The last line of the trailer sucked because on its own it's not amusing, it's just a reference to the show.

I'm gonna say the odds are 500:1 this is gonna suck, because even some Sopranos episodes were kinda meh.

This was cringey as fuck. Based on this trailer alone you can tell they're just going to shoe in as many references to the show as possible. Gandolfini's son doing an impression of him stinks, and HBO is going to pozz this up for sure. I can't wait to hate watch it.
