Constantly playing Stairway, Come Together and Take the Money and Run on a loop for past 45 years. They're all good songs but holy fuck...how many times can you want to hear them???

It really is about 20 songs over and over, every damn day. Led Zeppelin, Eagles, CCR, Skynyrd, Rolling Stones, Ozzie, AC/DC... 1 or maybe 2 randoms per day. Kinda sucks.Constantly playing Stairway, Come Together and Take the Money and Run on a loop for past 45 years. They're all good songs but holy fuck...how many times can you want to hear them???
Don’t forget Slow Ride from Foghat. I don’t know why people still want to hear that song.Constantly playing Stairway, Come Together and Take the Money and Run on a loop for past 45 years. They're all good songs but holy fuck...how many times can you want to hear them???
I get that but I don't understand how it's possible for a 70 year old to want to hear Tuesday's Gone again after having listened to it for 45 yearsThe thing is, if people truly didn't want to hear the same bullshit over and over, they wouldn't play it. They've done the research and it shows that people that listen to the radio pretty much only want to hear familiar stuff.
"Normal" people don't have a lot of variation in their music tastes. The thing is, if people truly didn't want to hear the same bullshit over and over, they wouldn't play it. They've done the research and it shows that people that listen to the radio pretty much only want to hear familiar stuff.
If we're being honest, most terrestrial radio is just playing as background music in waiting rooms, construction areas, and auto shops. Even then more and more people have ear buds or Bluetooth speakers since they've gotten cheaper. The thing is, if people truly didn't want to hear the same bullshit over and over, they wouldn't play it. Hate Cowboy Bebop.I want to go on a murdering spree everytime I hear space cowboy.
Thanks to blewtooth I can listen to fag music without getting weird looks. If we're being honest, most terrestrial radio is just playing as background music in waiting rooms, construction areas, and auto shops. I remember when I was very young my parents would at least listen to Michael Jackson and madonna and whatever was popular at the time. They gave up on that pretty quick and never revisited it.They say after a certain age people stop “looking” for new music and settle with what they’ve been listening to for the rest of their lives. I remember the Eagles who broke up in 1980 said classic rock stations started shortly after 1980 and played a lot of their stuff on rotation so they lived on without having to do anything.
It really pisses me off how even Sirius is pretty limited for selection on the music channels. They won’t even dare play deep tracks from the artists they play to death. Thanks to FM rock radio being shit in the late 90s / 2000s pretty much any group I like I HATE their biggest songs because of how they played the songs to death. Like I said earlier, I looked up my cities big rock station and the setlist is 60-75% the same from 20 years ago but will mix in some current groups here and there but will still play “Even Flow” 3-4 times a day. They act like Nirvana’s “In Bloom” is a deep track.terrestrial radio stations have been garbage since about 2000. All of these complaints I've had for two decades. There's so much great classic rock that is just disappearing. Even Sirius fucked over their main fanbase by moving Deep Tracks to some channel you have to have their faggot ass app for. People set this shit up so they could have a RADIO, and now you're trying to get your most loyal customers to download an app when they are mostly 60+?
April Wine
Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush
Legs Diamond
Robin Trower
Pat Travers
I could go on and on listing shit that is great that hasn't been played in 30+ years so they could play "Heartache Tonight" 13 times a day
Yeah my dad who has an insane talent of knowing the artist / song title for pretty much all the late 60s / 70s songs (what he grew up with) around 85/86 stop keeping up with what was new. A few times he would get into a new group like Boyz II Men but for most part doesn’t even bother with current stuff. I think the most recent artists he liked was Bruno Mars.I remember when I was very young my parents would at least listen to Michael Jackson and madonna and whatever was popular at the time. I don't think I can ever become like that. New soca releases every carnival season is a big deal
