I mean, drafting a QB at 10 to play Sam Bradford instead? Why draft him at 10 if he can't beat out Sam Bradford in training camp? A fourth round QB prospect should be able to do that.

I normally don't bet the first half of the season, but after reading the NY news media covering up for Daniel Jones, I think a good move would be to fade any game Jones starts. He looks like he's regressed to a high school QB.

Bo Nix always struck me as the kind of QB some team would take a stab at in the fourth or fifth round, in the hope he could maybe crack the roster at all. Now, though, he's a high first rounder, and being seriously considered as an NFL starter. I've been wrong plenty of times before, but I'll be stunned if Bo Nix becomes a competent NFL QB1.

Anyway, the Nix hype train in the Denver media is unreal. Ever since rookie minicamp. They’ll never learn. I want the guy to be good more than anyone, but I have no reason to expect he will be. I’d love to be surprised.

He was playing college football since like 2018, so there was no way to avoid him. By the time he got to Oregon it was like "What? How can he still be in college?". And he always seemed like one of those guys who'd carve out a noteworthy college career, and maybe hold a clipboard on the practice squad before winding his way into coaching. Or play in Canada or something. Then again, you never know.
