There are probably a couple reasons. Technically its legal depending on the state and Im sure he really wants someone to mention it so he can go off on his diatribe of his sociopolitical views that he has been rehashing for years. Just a passive aggressive way he thinks will make the libs uncomfortable and a statment about his thoughts on his rights. Nice scope, those are excellent for CQB and reflexive shooting. It also looks to be aligned perfectly with the front sight post. I know personally for me there's nothing that guides my shot better than being zoomed in on a piece of metal. This guy is so useless id be surprised if he paid for his coffee. I know personally for me there's nothing that guides my shot better than being zoomed in on a piece of metal.

It seems counterintuitive but the front sight post is handy on low power for a co-witness and on high magnification you don’t see the front sight at all. I do agree this guy is a goober, and doing it to make a statement. Nice 45 rd mag, stupid.

Everything about that setup screams I got this at sportsmans warehouse. My overall point being he's not actually setup to engage targets in an urban environment, which is the image he wishes to portray.
