He actually always did that shit though. He'd get pissed off when certain commercials would come on because he hated their spokesmen and would send them stern but very professional letters about them. The Lillydale Chicken guy (because he hated his accent), Subway Jared (because my dad immediately called him a pedophile the very first time he saw him, I'm not kidding), and the one Canadian Tire guy (also called a pedophile). He's still pretty sure he's responsible for getting the Canadian Tire guy and the Lillydale Chicken guy canned. When it came out that Jared was a horrible monster my dad was like "I fucking told EVERYBODY."
