Stephen King's Maine radio stations will go silent for good on New Year's Eve

If I had a half billion, I'd buy a radio station and program it just for myself. Can't fault him for this

my thoughts, as well--what's the point of being rich if you don't do stupid shit like this. Also, even if he was paying those DJs 40K a year--that's 40K more than they could get anywhere else so he was helping people out keeping this thing afloat for so long. The show way outlived most of the other Jocktober shows. and O and A for that matter.

At this point, everyone agrees the wacky Maine character with the Maine-ah accent was definitely just Stephen King himself, right? Article says he just poured money into the failing enterprise for decades because he liked the idea of having these wacky INDEPENDENT radio stations up in Bangor
