When fans met O&A in real life they were always shocked at how much older they were. It was always a running joke "child of the 80s" and "late 20s why?". But if you ever saw them in person it was almost disturbing how the entire cast of the show including behind the scenes people were all either anorexic or obese and always far from attractive. And pretty much all had the complexion of Gollum or some other hideous monster. And that O&A were easily looking 15-20 years older than they sounded on radio made it jarring to see them.
There were a bunch of times where Anthony's looks were slammed by female guests on the show. Interns, porn whores, Ian Halperin's 'goddesses'. They would remark on his face or even his hair. And Anthony used to freak out when people would mention his hair plugs as well. Pretty much anytime a woman called out Anthony's looks he would become vicious against them to the point where he clearly was not joking around but emotional and angered. Opie had the same weak spot for his tits. He even told a few comedians after the show not to bring it up again.
