And outsourcing it to someone like Pat, with zero experience pitching scripts and zero clue how Hollywood operates, is what I’d expect from the sort of rank amateurs who’d even consider involving Pat in their business.

Pat dreams of being the hayseed done good and taking Hollywood by storm. This is probably his Plan B if suing MPD into paying his debts doesn’t work. He’s just that delusional.
He was 100% referring to his previous mentioned contest script he wrote with the mysterious writing partner. But any agent worth anything would have told them to write a synopsis by now and by telling them to do it now would be in total disregard for the strike.

This is what I do for a living. Unless you're a big enough name to get a pitch meeting (and even then you will most likely need a pitch deck including a synopsis to pass around before hand) you are simply not getting your screenplay read on spec without the required materials up front. Pat is not a big enough name in any sense and absolutely nobody is hiring nobodies to write a synopsis for them either. This isn't script coverage. This is the first step to getting your screenplay read.

Which is why it’s hilarious if it’s for a screenplay they supposedly started shopping around years ago. Pat is enough of a dumb motherfucker for this to be true. He’s just such a moron that he can’t help but brag about shit anyone with a lick of goddamn sense would be ashamed of.

Also this.

Like I said when this first came up; he should have already had a synopsis to submit with a screenplay anyway. Whoever he's supposedly dealing with doesn't know the first thing about it so he's either being scammed or just lying. With Pat it's hard to even tell which is more likely since he lies constantly and is also the biggest rube on the planet.
Truly a winning combination.

In Patrick's own words, he has been asked out of the blue to write a synopsis for an unsold screenplay written pre-strike by non-WGA members and has sought legal advice about whether this legally or ethically crosses strike lines. It's the most bizarre lie I've ever heard my entire life and, even if it was true, why the fuck is he ignoring the legal advice provided from his own trustee in regards to the debt?

Edit - Even if we were WGA members which we aren’t yet?! He’s deranged if he thinks he will become WGA member.

It would serve him right if someone brought the rat to Oakland Avenue. I do *not* want to see Patrick in handcuffs like his spiritual brother Cyrax. I really don’t.
As a union employee, I'd never cross a picket line. Any coworker who did would be branded a rat and would possibly find his tires slashed
Scabs deserve slashed tires and maybe more den dat.

There was a time it would be worse. Last time we struck, they had the scabs park 5 miles away and then shuttled them in on busses after the first week.

Where I work, back in the day before I was hired (decades ago) during a strike, whenever a car would try to pass the line they would all flip the fuckin car over. They didnt give a shit who was in it. Its gettin flipped.

Ya that's why they shuttled them. It was 5 years before my time but the old guys loved talking about having a car surrounded and rocking it or picking it up. There was also 3-5 fistfights a day guys would intimidate other truckers into turning around with full trailers.

So pat shopped this same spec script without a synopsis before, so he was probably being scammed then and possibly also now. Some shyster offers to shop his script for a fee ("non refundable, like my time") then waits a while and says "sorry, I think we've gone as far as we can with this one"

I’ve never written anything and never will and even I know you don’t just send 100+ pages to people unsolicited without some kind of executive summary up front describing what the hell you’re sending them and why they should care about it.
