He was 100% referring to his previous mentioned contest script he wrote with the mysterious writing partner. But any agent worth anything would have told them to write a synopsis by now and by telling them to do it now would be in total disregard for the strike.And outsourcing it to someone like Pat, with zero experience pitching scripts and zero clue how Hollywood operates, is what I’d expect from the sort of rank amateurs who’d even consider involving Pat in their business.
Pat dreams of being the hayseed done good and taking Hollywood by storm. This is probably his Plan B if suing MPD into paying his debts doesn’t work. He’s just that delusional.
This is what I do for a living. Unless you're a big enough name to get a pitch meeting (and even then you will most likely need a pitch deck including a synopsis to pass around before hand) you are simply not getting your screenplay read on spec without the required materials up front. Pat is not a big enough name in any sense and absolutely nobody is hiring nobodies to write a synopsis for them either. This isn't script coverage. This is the first step to getting your screenplay read.
