Always or just the recent episodes? Futurama was good for the pilot and first episode, then became just another shitty animated sitcom.
Family Guy was only good for a cheap laugh. Same with South Park, so they became awful when they started giving messages.

I followed it because I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic stories but the truth is that TWD has always been shit, to the point where the shittiness became part of the appeal.

Would it have? He's a goofball at heart too. All the dumb shit in the first season was his idea. Just accept the fact that the show was destined to be schlock from its inception.
