In the genre of science fiction and fantasy, we can imagine practically everything! Far worlds full of strange creatures, magic that breaks every rule of physics, conflicts and weapons that could threaten to destroy the universe!

This is going to embarrass John Scalzi more than Pat when it comes to light, because he is actually a well known figure.
A lot of his shit doesn't sell so well.

I don't know if he'd fit under 'midlist' author but he's been coasting off of his one huge success (sound familiar?) Old man's war for over 2 decades.

Someone made a good observation about these types.

Stephen King and Dean Koontz write the same sort of books. If you had to guess, who sells more?







The answer is Dean Koontz, but he doesn't run his retarded mouth on social media about shit he knows nothing about so most people don't even recognize his name.
