Probably. It will be like Star Wars or one of those mega properties that has so much of a built in fanbase and paypigs and whales that it will take decades of abysmal releases and merchandise to even put a dent in the overall brand. Rockstar can probably afford two or three more terrible GTA games with massive declines in quality before the sales really plummet or fall off completely. And with each GTA taking years to release they probably have two decades to suck the life out of the franchise.
Star Wars has now had more bad movies than good. More bad TV shows than good. Total extreme saturation and mass marketing of the brand. A disastrously failed theme park launch. And yet, the brand is still getting more shows and movies and video games, than literally anything. Despite some box office bombs and Disney+ failing to yield a profit ever they are churning out more Star Wars goyslop every day.
Worst part is that GTA is just like Star Wars in terms of how they treat the older material. The old Star Wars movies are not even available anymore. You can only buy or stream those stupid George Lucas remasters with the awful CGI and re-cut dialog. And the old GTA games when they were "remastered" are censored all over the place and half of the original music is gone. Not to mention the remasters are ports of the mobile versions so they run poorly.
