It's not that simple, they don't have the soldiers. Russia's fighting style hasn't changed in centuries. They send wave after wave of soldiers at you until you are dead. If Ukraine strikes Russia's leadership with American tech it's WWIII. Russia is better at the civil unrest thing than we are so no dice there either. What other ideas does r/politics have?

They even exported effectively to their minions...Iran basically won the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s using human wave tactics, and Iraq's Saddam was supported as eagerly as Zelenskyy by the West (who were also eagerly sabotaging him behind the scenes, just like with Zelenskyy).
