I don’t really care about abortion but some things I’ve seen in the media just weird me out. Like when you had democrats telling woman to be proud of their abortions and how it’s a badge of honor, I think they called it “shout your abortion!” Or some shit. It’s not like it’s a major achievement to get an abortion.

I also like when celerities talk about getting abortions, it’s always related to their acting careers which makes it sound like they just had a scheduling conflict.

I don't mind it being destigmatized and teaching young girls not to be ashamed if some shit happens and you get knocked up at a house party. If you don't wanna raise it, get the procedure and try to be careful next time cause these boys think with their dicks.

But the ultra-feminists who deliberately try and get pregnant just to have an abortion? Or who boast how many abortions they've gotten like a Vietnam vet with a kill list? For the reasons you laid out, I this this is purely political entertainment and not much will come of it. Even if abortion is banned in one or two states in the South then California or New Yawk will just fund abortion tourism like they threatened/promised. Second, society doesn't have to deal with shit it doesn't want to. That's what I'm getting at. The 20th century saw hundreds of millions dead from wars and communism alone. Do you really think anybody is "dealing" with any social issues if it's not for political or monetary leverage? Nobody gives a shit about the atrocities of starvation, pestilence, etc. in Africa, the Middle East, shitty Asian countries. Nobody benefits.

We want the same things, but you're not taking into account that the government and its agencies has encouraged behaviours that then require government assistance later on. Not to get into conspiracy shit, but do you really think something like the War On Drugs is for the benefit of the people? I know your answer is "well that's government involvement" but if they legitimately wanted to rid our countries of certain drugs they could and would have already, and we'd be better off.
