Looking at Jim’s schedule for November it looks like he’ll sell 60 grandnworth of tickets and bring home about 15 grand. Not bad for a side gig.

Not saying you're wrong but what do you base this on?

I'd say after god knows how many years in comedy Norton probably works for a guarantee these days but if he's making a promoter/venue $60,000 you'd hope that he'd walk with more than $15,000 for 4 nights work. After taxes, agent fees, expenses etc that $15,000 could be as little as $10,000

Just guesses really. I was looking at the venues and the remaining tickets for each show. His ticket price is as high as 120 per seat, which seems really high to see him. All the shows are within driving distance.

I think friendship to Opie and Jim meant different things. Like Jim would never go to Opies little house and meet his kids. It bothered both of them. They weren't that close.
In fairness who the hell wants to meet other people’s kids? Unless you have your own kids or it’s your direct nieces/nephews, that’s lame as hell.

I disagree with that, I like meeting peoples kids and hanging out with them, its just what friends do, but I get why it sucks

Nice conclusion of a show that ended over 10 years ago, stupid.

Nana and Jimmy are like a pair of high school girls when it comes to their relationships with each other and Opie. Bitching, catty sniping, texting behind his back. Opie is far from perfect but he did try to take the high road with those pair of literal homosexuals but they made it pretty much impossible with how petty they are.

And now I’d be shocked if Jim talked to Anthony more than a handful of times a year at this point.

I'd guess he never speaks to him again. THe chip podcast is dead, Jim doesn't want to be tied to the Gavin show and all of the people who could help Jim have made their feelings known after kicking nana out of the cellar that night. Jim has no reason to talk to him anymore, there is no benefit in associating with him and he has the convenient excuse that nana lives down south now.

Does anyone know the nearest comedy club to Nana's house? I'd like to see if Jim ever plays it and if nana goes to the show.

The discounts at comedy shows are really aggressive. I saw Bert Kreischer in Portland, at Helium. I was literally the only person in line who had any idea at all who was on stage. The vast majority of the crowd was there on a Groupon.

I don't have the slightest idea what Bert's financial situation is, but it's possible that he built a big audience by just filling clubs with people via discount tickets.

As a goof, I sent my wife and her boyfriend to a Rich Vos show once. The tickets were 100% free. There's this service you can subscribe to, that will basically give you free tickets to comedy shows, week in and week out.

I am guessing it isn't a hot ticket, just a place to go for a night out. He is somehow still booking theaters though, I guess they are hoping for concession money so they'd rather give away hundreds of tickets.

Ive been to a few comedy shows, I mostly pick them by venue and date, I mostly don't care who is performing.

Yep. Barely anyone knew who Bert was that night, but he's good at getting the crowd to drink A LOT.

Literally got up on stage, took his shirt off, and began pounding booze for the entire set, and he was already shit faced when he went up. By the end of the set, it was hard to discern what he was saying, he was falling over drunk.

Check the tickets available for the Levoy Theater in Millville, NJ. Jesus.
I’m not Jesus but it looks like landau is having a pretty good run, a bunch of 2 night gigs at small clubs. He seems like the type who is afraid to ask for money though. He’ll work cheap to keep working

Imagine that you're some random woman in a tattoo parlor. Your husband wears flame-themed attire. He is fat and suicidal. You have no medical or psychiatric training.

A particularly dumb, naive, senile slime-mold asks you, "how do I diet? How do I lose weight?"

Because you have no training or expertise, you tell him, "I dunno? Your blood type...eat less meat. Eat egg whites."

How irresponsible. How harmful.

MJ is one of the underrated villains of the O&A universe.
