I’ve always thought the reason Ade wanted to get away from Pat was over her getting pregnant and realizing Pat is too selfish / self centered to take care of a child. Without having a kid with Pat he’s obviously a selfish adult who is a “big kid” but once she got pregnant it was clear piggy would resent the kid getting all the attention.
